Upon Arrival

Spa Etiquette at Lotus Day Spa, Port Vila, Vanuatu

From the moment you walk in through the Antique Balinese doors your experience will begin with a warm greeting.  As we guide you from reception to our tranquility area you can enjoy a refreshing cool beverage while you relax, sample products in our retail area, or receive a tour of our facility.

We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment to relax and fill out our brief “About You” form. The more relaxed you are at the start of your treatment, the more rejuvenated you will feel afterward.  To complete your journey with us we offer a complimentary iced or hot T2 herbal tea and tropical fruit plate  We invite you to give us your feedback and encourage you to take the time to sip your tea, savor the moment before floating out the door and dreaming of your next return.

 

Cancellation Policy/Rescheduling

We understand that everyone has things that come up – work, kids, or emergencies.  We have secured your appointment time especially for YOU!!  If you do need to cancel, we kindly request the courtesy of giving us at least 24 hours notice to avoid the full charge of treatment to your credit card or gift certificate.

For group bookings of 3 or more we require a 10,000vt non-refundable deposit when booking details are finalised and confirmed.  The 10,000vt deposit will be credited toward the total amount due.

Rescheduling Your Appointment

Due to the extensive preparation required to personalize each and every treatment, we require 12 hours notice to reschedule your appointment to avoid a 50% cancellation fee.

Arriving Late

Arriving late will limit your treatment time lessening it’s effectiveness. We will endeavour to carry out your full treatment time but due to other guest appointments this may not be possible. Please call us if you think this may happen so we can try our best to accommodate you.

Spa Attire

We encourage you to wear something comfortable and easy to change in and out of. During treatments, you may wear underwear if you prefer, otherwise disposable underwear is also available for all spa therapies. At Lotus Day Spa & Café , our therapists are well trained in the art of draping, which means that they keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body that they are working on.

Valuables

Feeling very relaxed after treatment it is easy to leave valuables behind.  Please refrain from bringing valuables to the treatment. In the treatment area we provide a small jewelery box for you so nothing is forgotten or left behind.

Medical Conditions

If you have any medical conditions, it is important that you tell your therapist.  They will be able to adjust the treatment as necessary.  Such conditions may include high or low blood pressure, epilepsy, pregnancy, recent surgery etc.  When filling out our ” About You” form, you will be given the opportunity to advise us of any medical conditions that may affect your treatment.

Smoking

Lotus Day Spa & Café has a no smoking policy inside the premises .

Mobile Phones

To maintain our peaceful atmosphere, we ask that you turn off your mobile phones while visiting our spa. Please respect the quiet and privacy of other spa guests by speaking in a soft voice or simply enjoying the silence.

Gratuities

Our best reward is your personal recommendation of Lotus Day Spa & Café  to a friend and your comments on our feedback form which we value.  Our staff are dedicated to exceeding your expectations and creating a memorable spa experience. Although they are not expected, gratuities are a wonderful opportunity to let your therapist know they did a outstanding job!!  A gratuity may be given directly to a staff member or included with payment of your treatments.

Treatment for our younger guests

We offer mini treatments for children and teenagers and for special occasions.  Although everyone can enjoy our spa, we request that an adult accompany  any children under the age of 14. With a prior booking, we also offer child minding services for a fee so that you can enjoy time out for YOU.  Please enquire with our reception.

You are welcome to pay for your treatments with the following:

Both Vatu and Australian dollars are accepted (change is only given in Vatu which is the local currency of Vanuatu)

Credit Card:

Visa, MasterCard and American Express are all welcome.

Special Requirements

If you would like to arrange any special requirements during your time with us at Lotus, please let us know. We can arrange flowers, lunch platters & light refreshments, and more.  How about a rose (frangipani) petal path from the spa reception to the treatment room with a live musician playing the harp (for the occasion of a private wedding proposal).  We will do our utmost to accommodate you!
